But expanding the business is the critical task of the business owner. Unless the business owner is able to pursue opportunities to grow their client base and increase revenue, the business will not thrive.
Hiring more help seems like the common sense solution. However, it may not be feasible, due to the high cost of salary plus training plus equipment plus workspace. Taken as a whole, all of these expenses can add up to prohibitive cost.
Outsourcing is a possible solution that provides high return on investment.

For instance, a virtual assistant, using the Internet and the telephone, could complete all email, correspondence, customer service, and bookkeeping, leaving the small business owner free to pursue opportunities.
