Located in Van Riebeekstraat, Netherlands, is the cartoon, conceptual and caricature artist Snoei. His hand drawn pieces are key to his success, as this enabled him to make that move to digital enhancement-without loosing that traditional touch.
Snoei is an illustrator, who started his career as a DTP/Graphic designer, at an advertising agency and worked there for 5 years. In 2001 Snoei started his own business. At first his work mostly consisted of DTP/Graphic design work but gradually he started to do more illustration work.
Now it\’s mostly illustration with the occasional a graphic design job, which he also enjoys doing. All of his work starts with a pencil sketch, the old-fashioned way and is then finished in A.I.
Snoei\’s designs are specifically tailored to suit the needs of who requires it. Depending on customer or client, his work is as detailed as necessary to work with the ideas that are given to him. Snoei will then develop these ideas onto paper and then, sometimes, finish them off on the computer. He uses amazing colour tones to help artwork stand out well within his profile.
If you have developed your talent for a long period of time, you will soon see that you can also create such designs, with no problems. These types of work by Snoei are only one side to traditional art, as you can see that using digital enhancements can sometimes improve the design. But it all comes down to what you, your client or your customer requires for that certain project.
Snoei has worked on projects for many customers and clients, who include KPN, Peugeot, Wehkamp, Coca Cola, Vodaphone, Albert Heijn, KLM,, SJP Magazine, Rails Magazine, Expert, Appelsientje, Delta Lloyd, Axxa, Allo Telecom, Canon, Tango and Plus.
